Abstract:  The Philadelphia Younger Chemists Committee (YCC) chapter of the American Chemical Society (ACS) connects young chemists in the community and seeks to positively support their career and professional development needs. The Chemical Consultants Network (CCN) is a topical group of the ACS Philadelphia section and is dedicated to helping consultants in the chemical enterprise create, run and grow consulting businesses.  In this meeting Isabella Goodenough and Taylor Keller will describe the mission, opportunities and challenges of the YCC and it’s constituents, both from a regional Philadelphia section and eastern seaboard perspective.  In addition, Mike Michalczyk will describe the same for the older demographic of chemical consultants in the CCN.  This will be followed by a 30-minute open Q/A and discussion session.  It is hoped that both groups will gain a better understanding of each other and perhaps lay the groundwork for future collaboration. 

 Biography:  Isabella Goodenough currently serves as the Chair of the Philadelphia YCC and is on the Board of Directors for the ACS Philadelphia local section. Taylor Keller serves as the vice-chair of the Philadelphia YCC and serves on the ACS National YCC. Together, their mission seeks to advance STEM education and retention through peer-to-peer mentoring programs and community engagement. Mike Michalczyk is President of Chelate Consulting, LLC and Chair of CCN.
